Kudos for Cooper

Attorney General Roy Cooper showed  that he is aware of the mess within the State Bureau of Investigation by calling for further audits within the SBII Crime Lab and by appointing former Chief Judge of the Court of Appeals, Gerald Arnold, to temporarily head up the Crime Lab. Arnold has a reputation for not tolerating poor work and will help restore some confidence in the labs. We only wish he had put Arnold in charge of the entire SBI. But this is a good step.

Never ever forget that the "Coop" appointees and Coop were on board for the SBI lab demise. His choice of a PR person/lawyer for director is as bad as his choice of a communications person for lab director ! Too bad Judge Arnold was not appointed Director but is it a "timing" issue that he did not want to hurt "party" ranks before the election with this needed Justice expose'
