Call off the recount, Bob
I thought Bob Etheridge was the best candidate in the 2nd Congressional race (and still believe time will prove I was right), but it is time Bob hung it up and called off this recount. Maybe if he was 100 or 200 votes apart from Ellmers it might be worth the time and expense of a recount, but 1,400 votes is too wide a margin to overcome.
Bob, you are only acting like spoiled sport. You have had your turn in Congress and did a pretty good job representing the folks in your district. Don’t ruin that reputation here at the end. The voters have spoken. We have a new Congressional representative from the 2nd District. Let’s move on.

WOW! I'm stunned not by the call for Bob to call off the recount but that someone can defend him as being the best candidate.
Are we not talking about the same Bob Etheridge, (D-NC) District 2? The same Bob Etheridge that votes in lock-step for bigger government, more taxes, and voted for a Healthcare Bill that could be the nail in the coffin!?!
How can one believe that the best candidate is the one who has done all he can to destroy the very fiber of our Nation with one entitlement vote after another!
